The HPC team, led by a BASES-accredited physiologist, works closely with athletes and coaching staff to determine performance status and needs for training progression, as well as assist in the achievement of individual and team goals. PerformWell is designed to assess, advise and monitor performance across exercise, physiology and biomechanics.

Anaerobic Threshold Testing

Anaerobic Threshold

This test will provide you with an assessment of your individual anaerobic threshold (AT). The anaerobic threshold is the highest exercise intensity that you can sustain for a prolonged period without lactate substantially building up in your blood. This threshold is used to identify and optimise individual training intensities and programmes and to monitor progress to performance goals.

Vo2 Max testing

VO2 Max Test

The test will provide you with an assessment of your maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max). This is the gold standard measurement of aerobic fitness. It can be used to compare your aerobic status to normative values for age gender and sport as well as tracking the impact of training programmes on development of aerobic fitness.

 

AT + VO2  testing

Anaerobic Theshold and VO2 Max Test

This test will provide you with an assessment of your both your maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) and anaerobic threshold (AT). When measured with VO2max, knowing your ATit can provide a better assessment of training status and is a more sensitive indicator of adaptations to training and fitness improvement.

Thermal Bath

The thermal bath by Icool is used for recovery after exercise. The thermal bath ranges from 5-40 degrees meaning that you can use it for icebaths or hot baths.
