This highly practical hands-on course is tailored to specifically meet the needs of health care and medical professionals looking to develop their clinical skills utilising diagnostic ultrasound.
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound imaging, covering fundamental principles, anatomical assessments, and practical applications. The first day begins with an introduction to ultrasound physics, including transducer types, image optimization, and ergonomic techniques for safe practice. Participants will then engage in detailed ultrasound examinations of the knee, ankle, foot, and hip, learning to identify key structures such as tendons, joint spaces, bursae, and fat pads. Hands-on sessions will reinforce practical scanning techniques and interpretation skills.
The second day builds upon these foundations with ultrasound assessments of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand, focusing on essential anatomical landmarks, including tendons, nerves, and joint spaces. The course also incorporates clinical case studies, enabling participants to recognize common pathological findings through interactive discussions. The final session includes practical workshops and image review, offering hands-on experience with advanced scanning techniques and clinical considerations. By the end of the course, participants will have a solid understanding of MSK ultrasound applications in clinical practice.
By the end of this two-day course, you will be able to:
