Learn how to create versatile sweet pastry so that you can create an array of impressive desserts, including a traditional Bakewell Tart! By using simple ingredients and classic French pastry methods and recipes such as sablé, crème patissière, and creaming techniques, you will be able to challenge your creativity and produce high quality treats that are easily replicable and will impress your family and friends.
We will explore how to make sweet pastry and use small tart shells to create different individual dessert. This will involve:

Jake is an extremely passionate baker, whose enthusiasm for all things bread and pastry allows him to continuously learn and discover new skills and techniques within the baking industry. During his time as a student at the National Bakery School, Jake had the opportunity to join the start up team for a brand-new artisan bakery in Central London, where he progressed and moved full time upon completion of his studies. As a graduate of the National Bakery School, Jake has gained industry experience and recognition for his love of the industry when he was nominated for the Rising Star Award at the 2022 Baking Industry Awards. Jake hopes to inspire many new generations of bakers through his time as an alumni and member of staff at the National Bakery School.
