James Oldham is a Lecturer of Chiropractic at London South Bank University, where he serves as Module Lead for Clinical Anatomy, General Diagnosis, Neuroanatomy & Applied Neurology, and Evidence-Based & Contemporary Practice.
Beyond the university setting, James delivers Emergency First Aid in Football training for the Football Association.
His teaching interests focus on the integration of technology and simulation in healthcare education, with a passion for enhancing clinical preparedness through immersive and innovative learning experiences.
Pre-Course Study: Candidates will be provided with online resources, including clinical examination videos, emergency action planning guides, and foundational reading materials to ensure preparedness before attending the in-person session.
Face-to-Face Practical Sessions: The core of the training will be interactive, featuring hands-on practice in a simulated clinical environment. Candidates will rotate through emergency case scenarios using high-fidelity manikins and real-time clinical monitoring.
Simulation Exercises: A key component of the course will be immersive clinical simulations designed to mimic real-world emergencies. These will challenge candidates to apply their knowledge, use diagnostic tools, and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
Post-Course Reflection: Candidates will review recorded footage of their clinical responses, allowing for self-assessment and peer review. This reflection ensures continuous learning and application of skills in everyday chiropractic practice.
This is a practical, non-assessed course designed for experiential learning.
