LSBU's VR Anatomy Suites blend immersive technology with traditional anatomy learning, offering interactive, tech-driven education through online platforms, virtual reality, and hands-on exploration for medical, allied health, and advanced biology training.
Room 1: Digital Anatomy & VR Learning Lab
This room is optimized for interactive, tech-driven anatomy education, combining online platforms, virtual reality, and collaborative tools.
Layout & Features:
10 Laptop Workstations: Each equipped with high-performance laptops for accessing online anatomy platforms (e.g., 3D Organon, Oxford Medical Simulation).
VR Headsets & Controllers: Dedicated space for immersive anatomy exploration using platforms like 3D Organon.
Screen Casting Setup: Large wall-mounted display projector and portable AV unit for instructors to cast VR sessions or online anatomy walkthroughs for group viewing
Room 2: Physical Anatomy Model Room
This space supports hands-on, tactile learning using real-world anatomical models and specimens.
LSBU’s VR Anatomy Suites are ideal for anatomy teaching, VR and online simulation based learning, and interactive sessions.The facilities are managed by experienced technicians, who will be able to support you and answer any questions you have about the equipment.
Our facilities are uniquely positioned to support the healthcare sector's needs, thanks to strong partnerships with over 50 NHS organizations, including renowned institutions like Great Ormond Street Hospital, and are located in central London.
We have a trained group of technicians who will be available to answer any questions you might have about the space. However, it is also possible for you to use the space independently once you have undertaken introductory training on the equipment.
LSBU's VR Anatomy suites are located on our Southwark Campus.
