The ILM Level 7 Diploma for Executive and Senior Level Coaches & Mentors is ILM’s most senior coaching qualifications. The programmes are designed for senior managers or Human Resources/Organisational Development professionals who wish to develop their expertise in coaching and mentoring or to establish coaching practices at an organisational level. They are also ideal for professional coaches and mentors looking to enhance and accredit their experience with a nationally recognised qualification.
The Diploma requires students to demonstrate their ability to plan, deliver, and review at least 60 hours of coaching and mentoring in the workplace. The course is delivered through a unique blend of executive coaching, supervision, work-based learning, and coaching practice. Students define a set of objectives designed to have a real impact on their individual coaching practice.
There are no specific entry requirements, but participants are typically practicing or managers or consultants with a coaching or mentoring role, capable of meeting the assessment demands, often evidenced by holding leadership and/or qualification at level 5 or above.
The ILM Level 7 qualification caters to professional coaches and mentors, as well as senior managers and Human Resources/Organisational Development professionals with significant responsibility for coaching and mentoring within their organisations.

The programme is delivered and assessed by a team of experienced coaches from the Academy of Leadership and Management.
Learning Activities:
All students receive study membership of the Institute of Leadership & Management for the duration of their course.
The programme spans 9-12 months and includes 9 1-2-1 tuition sessions, conducted via MS Teams or Zoom.
Participants would be expected to dedicate between 5-8 hours per week undertaking the modules and to complete the assignments.
The assessment comprises practically focused assignments based on the participant's role, organisation, and CPD as a coach.
Participants earn 37 credits upon successful completion of this course.
