UV-vis is a widely used technique that measures the absorption, transmission or reflection of light from a sample over a wide range of wavelengths in the visible and ultraviolet regions of the electromagnetic spectrum.
Our Shimadzu UV-2600i double-beam spectrophotometer is capable of high-absorbance measurements with sub-nanometer bandwidth. The instrument is ideal for the analysis of material band gap, optical coatings, and thin films –as well as any routine work expected of a UV-vis spectrophotometer. The system has a wide measurement range of 185 to 1100 nm.
Our instrument also has an integration sphere accessory, which enables the measurement of the absorbance and transmission properties of thin films, coatings, and transparent materials, as well as their diffuse and specular reflectance properties.
