Body composition assessment via Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) is a method used to estimate the proportion of different components in the human body. It goes beyond traditional measures like body weight and provides a more detailed breakdown of the body into different components, such as lean body mass and fat mass. Our BIA devices can determine the proportions of fat and lean tissue in different segments of the body (trunk, left and right limbs). For individuals aiming to lose or gain weight, understanding their body composition is crucial.

Please note: This assessment is performed using bio-electrical impedance analysis technology which is not suitable for people with an electronic medical implant, such as a pacemaker, and pregnant individuals.

• Digital report of results (weight, fat and lean mass) and advice on reducing fat, gaining muscle, healthy living.

We will meet you outside the Faraday Wing Building. From here we will direct you to E132 – Environmental Psychophysiology Laboratory - where the service will take place. Please see a picture of the laboratory below.
