Alfonso Pelosi
Alfonso Pelosi is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 45 years of international experience in major infrastructure projects across more than 26 countries. He is a FIDIC Certified Adjudicator (President’s List) and FIDIC Certified Trainer, specialising in contract management, claims, dispute resolution, and the practical application of the FIDIC 1999 and 2017/2022 Suites.
Throughout his career, he has held senior roles including Project Manager, Contract Manager, and Technical Director on complex projects involving dams, railways, highways, bridges, and tunnels. He is also a Visiting Lecturer at Politecnico di Milano and an active member of international professional bodies including FIDIC’s Contracts Committee and the DRBF. He brings extensive real-world expertise in FIDIC contracts, risk allocation, and dispute avoidance to his training programmes.
Asel El Housan
Asel El Housan is a civil engineer and construction law specialist with 30 years of international experience in contract administration and dispute resolution, including over 26 years in the UAE. She holds an LLM in Construction Law and Arbitration (Robert Gordon University, UK), a Diploma in Project Management (University of Cambridge), and a BSc in Civil Engineering.
Asel is a FIDIC Certified Trainer, Certified Mediator (CMC), and member of FIDIC Task Group 9. She serves on arbitration panels including DIAC, SCCA, Abu Dhabi International Arbitration Centre, and CIArb, and has acted as sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator, DAB member, expert witness, and advisor in high-value disputes across the Middle East and internationally.
Founder and CEO of AEH Consultancy (UK), she has led and advised on more than 40 projects and delivered over 50 FIDIC training programmes, bringing extensive practical expertise in EPC, Design & Build, PPP, and major infrastructure contracts.
Taner Dedezade
Taner Dedezade is an international construction barrister and Founder & Head of Chambers at International Construction Chambers, London. He specialises in the avoidance and resolution of complex international construction and engineering disputes, particularly under the FIDIC forms, acting for contractors, employers, and governments worldwide.
Taner is on the FIDIC President’s List of Approved Dispute Adjudicators, a FIDIC Certified Adjudicator and Trainer, ICC Arbitrator, and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He was named FIDIC Trainer of the Year 2020 and regularly delivers accredited FIDIC training and lectures globally, including on King’s College London’s MSc in Construction Law and Arbitration.
In addition to his extensive counsel and dispute board appointments, Taner has co-drafted FIDIC Practice Notes on Dispute Avoidance and the Appointment of Dispute Boards and has contributed to leading publications on international construction arbitration.
