LSBU’s Cancer Biology and Therapy Laboratory offers an equipped, professionally supported environment ideal for researchers, biotechnology companies, diagnostics developers, and industry partners seeking high‑quality lab space in central London.

Our laboratory is purpose-built for drug dose–response assays using mammalian cell culture models, providing access to specialised instrumentation available for external hire.

We also have a trained group of technicians who will be available to answer any questions you might have about the space. However, it is also possible for you to use the space independently once you have undertaken introductory training on the equipment.

Our laboratory is actively contributing to translational cancer research, including:

• Wet lab Validation of an In silico study in which we demonstrated that Triamterene binds to c-met and VEGFR2 receptors and may inhibit cancer through these pathways. We have assayed Triamterene in comparison to Etoposide using eight different cancer cell lines.
• In silico screening of potential S100A11 inhibitors followed by wet-lab validation using different cancer cell lines.

LSBU's Cancer Biology and Therapy Laboratories are located on our Southwark Campus, a short walk from Elephant and Castle station.
